Ever felt like setting up your cloud networking infrastructure was a bit like trying to untangle a giant ball of yarn, blindfolded ? While it is true to say that the networking infrastructure is the backbone for any critical infrastructure and it’s powerful, but sometimes, getting everything to talk and communicate to each other just right way can feel like a marathon.
Keeping the simplification at core, these config solution templates solves some of these networking infrastructure complexities, we are super excited to share some good news from the Cloud Networking Config Solutions team. We just pushed a significant update to our Cloud Networking Config Solutions repository and I truly believe this is going to make your lives, cloud networking and configuration a whole lot easier.

Think of this update as a massive “easy button” for your network connectivity. We’ve been receiving feedback from different channels to simplify the consumption of cloud networking solutions integrated with different products & services offered by google cloud, and we’ve made some serious strides in simplifying how you connect your different services.
This update is all about empowering you with greater flexibility and streamlined workflows. We’ve focused on simplifying the consumption of key networking services and expanding support for popular Google Cloud offerings.
For those of you who love to dive into the specifics, here’s a quick rundown of the key additions and enhancements you’ll find in the updated repository:
- Network Connectivity Center (NCC) – VPC as a Spoke This is a big one! NCC has been gradually adding lot new features in there suite of products and services and we have started to incrementally add support to each of them.
What does this mean for you? Much simpler network management and connectivity across your virtual private clouds, making it a breeze to link up disparate VPCs, whether they’re in the same project or across different organizations.
Here is the NCC user journey guide that enables to configure NCC under the Hub as a Mesh topology and VPC as its Spoke

Load Balancers
Consumer
- Managed Instance Groups (MIGs) can now act as consumers within your network configurations, providing greater flexibility and new patterns for how you deploy and scale your applications.
- Alloy DB we’ve introduced click-to-deploy functionality for AlloyDB, Google Cloud’s fully managed PostgreSQL-compatible database service. This significantly streamlines the setup process, getting you up and running with your high-performance databases faster.
Support for Private Service Connect (PSC) We’ve expanded support for Private Service Connect. PSC allows you to consume services privately and securely across VPC networks, without using internal IP addresses, making it easier to build secure, distributed applications.
Here is the customer user journey guide elaborating the usage of Alloy DB using PSC https://github.com/GoogleCloudPlatform/cloudnetworking-config-solutions/blob/main/docs/AlloyDB/alloydbinstance-using-psc.md
Why Should You Care About This?
Because your time is precious! And let’s be honest, while network configurations might not be the most exciting part for a cloud novice building in the cloud but definitely is the backbone for any cloud infrastructure. This update is designed to:
- Cut Down the Complexity
- Speed Up Your Projects
- Building safe, reilable & robust google cloud infrastructure while keeping security and cloud best practices in mind
