For months, I was trapped in “Markdown Blindness.” Claude would hand me a 200-line plan, I’d scroll to the bottom, type “looks good,” and ship code I never actually read.
Then I tried Karpathy’s frame: “Audio is the best input. Vision is the best output.”
I switched to HTML output. Same model. Same prompt. Different format.
Suddenly, my visual brain (which makes up 1/3 of your head’s processing power) was engaged. I caught logic gaps, spotted production bugs, and pushed back on weird design choices.
Try this on your next Claude session: “Structure this as a single self-contained HTML file. Open it in the browser.”
You’ll catch things you would’ve nodded through in markdown.
