Hermes does not replace Claude Code.
OpenCode does not replace Hermes.
The better question is: what role should each agent own?
My operating model:
Claude Code = deep desk work.
Use it when you are at the laptop, inside the repo, doing high-attention knowledge work.
OpenCode = fast open-source remote lane.
Use it for on-the-go actions, quick crons, and Telegram-routed workflows.
Hermes = lighter automation lane.
Use it for self-improving loops, open model experiments, scheduled crons, and Telegram-based work.
The system that makes this clean:
Keep one GitHub repo with your business context, skills, SOPs, and prompts. Then point Claude Code, Hermes, OpenCode, Codex, or any other agent at that same synced directory.
Each agent may expect a different naming convention, like CLAUDE.md or AGENTS.md. Ask the agent to adapt the repo once, then let the shared context do the work.
