Anthropic just shipped @Claude for Slack — and the agent layer just moved into the tools where your work already lives.
Here’s what’s new (beta, live now for Claude Enterprise and Team):
→ Tag @Claude in any thread or channel. It reads full context, the files shared, the decisions made — and replies in-line.
→ Summarize 200-message threads into decisions, blockers, and who owes what.
→ Query data and post charts, metrics, and benchmarks right in the channel.
→ Turn bug reports into draft PRs without leaving Slack.
→ Prep you for a customer call using the entire thread history.
→ Run weekly digests and monitor channels on autopilot.
The part that matters most? It doesn’t wait to be asked.
Give @Claude standing instructions. “Watch this channel.” “Flag anything from legal.” “Post a digest every Monday at 9.” It just runs.
And here’s the headline: @Claude can tag teammates back. Quiet thread? It surfaces it. Decision needs a human call? It flags the right person. Two-way agent — not a search box.
The bigger takeaway: the AI agent layer is moving INTO the tools where work already happens — not into another chat window next to them.
Slack is first. Microsoft Teams, Notion, and Linear are next.
